Hey everyone 🙂
I'm sad to say that I don't feel ok with continuing to use Twitter, oh sorry "X", any more. From now on, I will be posting on LinkedIn only.
I have been hoping for change in a more positive direction, but I do not like where this platform is heading.
Please make sure to follow me at LinkedIn instead for all super interesting Colibrio related updates!

Lars again. Still thinking about my earlier discussion with @Hadrien and feel sad to think that I may have hurt people's feelings.
I have very real personal reasons to be grateful to anyone working to facilitate and improve digital reading.

Midsummer's greetings to you all 🌞

ALT A low shot of tall grass swaying in the early evening breeze. Warm sunlight catches the tops of the straws making them glow around the edges. Out of focus is a purple wild flower growing among the grass stalks. In the far background stands a great old oak tree. It was old even when I was a child and seems to keep its vitality even as time whittles me.

Speaking of the PR aspect of standards work. We should possibly rename the SyncMedia spec. It does more than synchronisation. It is much more about orchestration of events, some of which may be run in parallel (audio / text for example).
Since it uses more modules of the SMIL spec than Media Overlays, it can be used to describe behaviour such as Region Based Navigation etc.

Yeah, MVPs should be accessible. Change my mind.

ALT Drawing of the change my mind meme. A guy sitting on a table (with my face instead of the one from the original meme) with a cup of coffee, blank papers, cameras, and a microphone, but more importantly an empty chair, challenging anyone to sit to discuss the topic in a poster hanging from the table. The message in the poster says: MVPs should be accessible, change my mind.
Sorry all Readium devs if you took offence and my "hard line" rant about standards compliance. I am arguably a squareish about these things 🙂
Anyway, we all aim for the same thing in the end. And I do appriciate your efforts to make the world a more readable place 🙏
