🆘🆘 BAMBI (ID 266319), 7 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 9/24/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 10/6/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE –😱😱😱 ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 11 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ BAMBI IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - He is a sweet but nervous cat who is not eating consistently in shelter. We suspect this is due to severe periodontal disease and stress. He needs a dentistry with extractions and a low stress environment to recover. NOT EATING/APPETITE ISSUES ARE A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER This evaluation/diagnosis means that BAMBI will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. Bambi tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

Her self-mutilating behaviors were pre-existing before she came into the shelter and have continued through her initial tail amputation that occurred while still with her previous owner, as well as the revision while in shelter care. Her behavior concern points to a likely neurological pathology that will require a neurological workup, consultation with a behavior certified vet, as well as a multimodal approach (anxiolytic/psychotropic & pain meds, behavior mod., and environmental alteration) to manage her likely compulsive self-mutilation. Should no pathologies be identified, further behavioral workups should also be sought out. She will require an experienced adopter/rescue group capable of managing daily care and diagnostics to ensure that Sabby's condition and self-mutilation be controlled to manage further trauma. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: Mia interacts with the observer and appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting, but she has a tendency to play rough, and has a very high energy level. We recommend that she go to a home with adopters with a moderate level of cat experience preferred and be well counseled in her history of sporadic incidents of pouncing on and stalking legs, ankles, and feet. Her behavior remains suitable for an adopter with an average amount of experience, provided the adopter is aware of these behaviors and is able to comfortably manage them- committing to a consistent feeding and play schedule and behavior modification plan to mange her energy levels and play needs. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I am looking for a home with a patient person. I would do best in a home with only adult humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. Playtime is essential! I love climbing tall cat trees and having fun with interactive toys! I am not one to sit still! I will flourish in a home with someone that will keep me mentally and physically active! I love to play and will need appropriate toys and positive outlets for my energy. A volunteer writes: This is Mia's world and we're living in it. Unfortunately for all of us, however, Mia's world has gotten smaller and she isn't always sure how to adapt to this one as she needs. An active kitty who takes joy in managing the moving parts, shelter life seems to have left her feeling a bit confused. Mia loves to play and likes to have many opportunities to do so. She loves pets and cuddles until she doesn't and she has the kind of kitty communication that takes a little extra patience and time to understand and appreciate. She's looking for someone who will welcome and love her for all that she is and is hoping that'll be you. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

She loses herself, forgets she is afraid and rolls around, jumps and gets closer to me then she would otherwise. She is easy to love, so fierce and beautiful! I wish that she find that person who can get her to that place, where she accepts caressing, love and companionship and finds comfort. Thank you for loving her and taking the time, whoever you are. Amora tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 NELLY (ID 260042), 6 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - owner surrender on 7/17/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person health - medical. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 10/6/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 80 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ NELLY IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This evaluation/diagnosis means that will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with cats in my previous home. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.
