Carl doesn't believe, but he understands the value of belief. In this way, he actually has more faith than most Christians.

Instead of asking whether you believe or not, ask yourself whether you have today done one thing because he said, Do it, or once abstained because he said, Do not do it. It is simply absurd to say you believe, or even want to believe in him, if you do not anything he tells you.

The more you study the Great Books, the more insane and unemployable you become. On the upside tho, you stop caring about those things around 5 years in. Instead, you care about pastries and local tap water quality.

The greatest orators of all time, Demosthenes and Cicero, failed to persuade and were killed. The greatest generals of all time, Hannibal and Napoleon, failed to conquer and were exiled. There’s a lesson in that.

I hope that you have by now understood that the National Dialogue, which will start with the National Convention on 15 August 2025, will be a true 'Parliament ofthe People', controlled by the people themselves.

32 reasons why Muslims do not worship the same God as Christians:
1. Origin: God is the God of Israel, revealed through His people. Allah is a god from pagan Arabia with no connection to the biblical God.
2. History: God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Christians preserve His connection with His people in the Bible. Islam claims this lineage but doesn't even have the Bible.
3. Revelation: God reveals Himself through prophets, covenants, and ultimately through Christ. Allah throws down commands through an angel.
4. Nature: God is personal, relational, and loving. Allah is a cold, distant, tyrant.
5. Relationship: God is a Father who adopts us as children. Allah is a master; humans are submissive slaves.
6. Deception: God never deceives. Allah calls himself the best deceiver.
7. Morality: God’s commands come from His holy, unchanging nature. Allah’s commands are arbitrary instructions for reward or punishment.
8. Free Will: God gives real free will alongside His sovereignty. Allah is pure fatalism; everything is written, you have no real choice.
9. Divine Image: God made humans in His image with dignity and purpose. Allah denies any real divine image.
10. Humility: God humbles Himself, becomes man, and participates. Allah stays far, proud, untouchable.
11. Theosis/Divinization: God invites us to share in His divine life. Allah keeps creation permanently beneath and far from him.
12. Joy in Worship: Worshipping God is love, joy, communion. Worshipping Allah is obligation, fear, and submission.
13. Personality: God has humor, warmth, and personal interaction. Allah has no personality, just commands.
14. Mediation: God mediates through Christ. Allah offers no bridge, only submission.
15. Covenant: God forms deep, lasting covenants with His people. Allah has no covenant—just a master-slave contract.
16. Scripture: God’s word is the Bible—rooted in history, fulfilled in Christ. Allah’s Quran is disconnected, fabricated, with zero biblical continuity.
17. Name: God reveals His personal name. Allah doesn’t even know it; “Allah” is just the Arabic word for god.
18. Salvation: God saves by love, grace, faith, and atonement. Allah saves by submission; grace doesn’t even factor in.
19. Forgiveness: God forgives through repentance and sacrifice. Allah forgives those who submit. There is no atonement.
20. Trustworthiness: God is always faithful. Allah can change his mind and deceive at will.
21. Ethics: God calls us to become like Him in love, mercy, and goodness. Allah orders obedience or eternal torture.
22. Angels: God’s angels are personal messengers and ministers. Allah’s angels are mindless record-keepers.
23. Sin: Sin breaks relationship with God. For Allah, sin is just breaking rules followed by brutal punishment.
24. Sacraments: God gives grace through sacraments: baptism, communion, etc. Allah has no sacraments.
25. Music in Worship: Worshipping God includes music, singing, and joy. Islam bans music from prayer. Worship is dry and mechanical.
26. Sabbath: God gives the Sabbath: a day for holy rest and communion. Islam has no concept of sacred rest.
27. Miracles: God’s miracles serve His plan of love and salvation. Allah’s miracles are brute displays of power.
28. Heaven: God promises a renewed world, perfect communion with Him. Allah is a pimp who promises a brothel in the sky with sex, wine, and servants.
29. Hell: God’s judgment is just—separation from Him for those who reject Him. Allah’s hell is an eternal torture chamber, gleefully described, mostly for disbelievers.
30. Jesus: Jesus is God in the flesh—Savior, Lord, Messiah. In Islam, Jesus is just a confused prophet with no cross, no resurrection.
31. Holy Places: God’s story centers on Zion, Jerusalem, the Temple. Allah’s house is the Kaaba—a recycled pagan idol shrine.
32. The Cross: The Cross is God’s ultimate act of love. Allah denies the crucifixion outright.

The man is perfect in faith who can come to God in the utter dearth of his feelings and desires, without a glow or an aspiration, with the weight of low thoughts, failures, neglects, and wandering forgetfulness, and say to Him, “Thou art my refuge.”

If Solomon, with God’s special gift of wisdom, couldn’t handle wealth and fame, why do we think big time Christian pastors and celebrities can?

I've been reflecting lately on the importance of showing love amidst our disagreements.
Paul might well have said, "if I correct every error in the world, but have not love, I am nothing" (cf. I Cor. 13:1-3).
Loveless criticism abounds these days--not just in the culture around us, but inside the church as well. But its not enough to be right: we must be Christlike. Our words should aim for restoration. We must not traffic in suspicion, slander, and projection of motive. These tactics do not build the kingdom of God. They confuse, divide, and weaken the body of Christ.
Ironically, they even weaken the crucial ministry of healthy polemics (because of the "boy who cried wolf" dynamic). The presence of love makes us stronger, not weaker.

I remember when I first visited a Messianic Jewish Synagogue in 1995 as a Jewish atheist.
I witnessed a very Orthodox-looking man passionately shouting in Hebrew, "Baruch Hashem! Baruch Hashem!" (which means “Bless the name of the Lord!”), right next to a fiery Spanish Pentecostal guy exclaiming, “Hallelooooyah!” in his best vibrato.
Seeing Jew and Gentile authentically worshiping the same God, side by side, touched my atheist heart. This was the beginning of when everything changed for me.
