As someone who was vegetarian for ~10 years, pescatarian for ~5, the idea that “we’re not designed to eat meat” is just not true. The amount of meat can be debated, hell even the quality of it is a reason to be conscious on its consumption. not much benefit of abandoning it.
Man claims people don’t really like meat; they just like the seasoning that tricks them into eating it, saying, ‘We’re not designed to eat meat.’

Viricide that doesn’t kill the gut microbiome?
The drug class we are developing, Claromers, kill nearly all known germs (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and biofilms) with one simple devastating mechanism that has avoided microbial resistance for over 200 million years. Claromers mimic a natural defense peptide in the human body called LL-37. Each Claromer molecule is very small, only dozens of atoms big - about 1/3 the size of the natural peptide. It is like a spear - a destructive end and a holding shaft or tail end. The shaft side is hydrophobic, which means it is water-avoiding and does not like to touch water. The other side - the pathogen destroyer - is highly positively charged (called “cationic” in science literature), like a powerful magnet that pulls toward anything negatively charged (called “anionic” in science). Stanford bioengineering Assoc Prof Barron and colleagues wrote in a recent study of Claromers: “These amphipathic peptoids self-assembled in different ways, as determined by small-angle X-ray scattering; some adopt helical bundles, while others form core−shell ellipsoidal or worm-like micelles.” That means the groups form either short twisted bundles, like worms, or small oval shapes like a football. 🏈 The self-assembly into these nano structures I. the watery fluids of the body because the water-avoiding shaft-tails point inward toward each other , away from the water. The positive pathogen-killer ends stick outward like sharpened spears. The molecules stick together on their own into tight groups. These groups attack like a three-dimensional Greek phalanx, a tight formation of soldiers. Like a football made of spears. The spears face out. Because each molecule is so tiny its mass is almost zero. When the positive killer ends feel the pull of the germ’s outer covering they accelerate from standing still to nearly the speed of light with almost no friction, like lightning bolt ⚡️ leaping towards the pathogen. The killer-football formation hits all at once the with huge kinetic energy and blows apart the outer membrane of the pathogen. The germ cannot survive. It is destroyed in a microsecond. Barron and colleagues also wrote: “While self-assembly correlated overall with antibacterial efficacy... Certain self-assembled morphologies seem better-suited for antibacterial activity.” The football 🏈 hits harder. We choose the super effective oval shapes that mass the spears for the strongest hit.

We're really about to enter the healthcare golden era as well as be sent into war at the same time, aren't we?

I feel like most people don’t know there’s like 3 types of moisturizer, occlusives, emollients and humectants, and which you use should depend on your skin type and needs.

JUST IN: Palmer Luckey's genetically modified military dog startup, Warhound, comes out of stealth, aiming to create enhanced canines for the U.S. military.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is NOT Palmer's company at all, his company Anduril is only supplying the tech for the dogs, and this is a wholly owed Collosal entiity x.com/palmerluckey/s…

I’ll never forget when a really cool multifaceted artist said to me they were afraid of picking up photography. Best thing I said during that convo is that she was hearing her own criticisms of people bounce back at her. I think more people should assess the voices in their head.

Scientists found a way to flush Alzheimer’s plaque out of the brain in minutes. Without any surgery and drugs. Your brain has a waste-clearance network called the glymphatic system. It flushes out toxic proteins and dead cells. But it only really activates during deep, slow-wave sleep. If you don't sleep, the trash piles up. Over time, that buildup leads to cognitive decline and Alzheimer's. Until today. Researchers just published a paper proving they can manually trigger this cleaning cycle. Without you ever going to sleep. They used 40.68 MHz ultrashort waves (USW) beamed non-invasively into the brain. Within 10 minutes, the brain's fluid flow rapidly accelerated. The waves artificially synchronized the neurons into a Delta state, the exact frequency of deep sleep. This forced the brain's water channels to open and start flushing out the system. They tested it on mice with traumatic brain injuries and Alzheimer's pathology. The brain swelling dropped. The toxic proteins were cleared out. Cognitive deficits actually improved. No surgery. No massive chemical interventions. Just a frequency.
