Liatu Samuel Dawa must be released unconditionally. We can’t keep entertaining religious impunity. Her freedom of religion and expression must be respected.
Liatu Samuel Dawa has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.
She did not kill,
She did not steal,
She did not lie nor abuse anyone,
Her only crime is coming from Northern Nigeria, telling someone about Jesus the Savior and the person becoming a Christian. In many let’s of Arewa North, it’s a criminal offence punishable by death for a Muslim to convert to Christianity.
Nothing must happen to Liatu Samuel Dawa. We will collectively follow up on this case and make sure she gets justice.
