Three girls in matching red-striped dresses, photographed in Ho on Ghana's Independence Day, have become part of a wider conversation about African street photography.
The image, 66th Independence Day, Ho, Ghana, 2023, is by Ghanaian-Dutch photographer Kenya Tay, one of 33 artists featured in the new Thames & Hudson anthology Street Photography Africa.
Reviewing the book for W Magazine, Siddhartha Mitter highlights how Tay's portrait captures an exchange between photographer and subjects, rather than simply observing them

France has all of these things because they have a long history of protesting just like this.
France has FREE health care, paid parental leave, paid family leave, FREE child care, FREE preschool, 5 weeks paid vacation, a 35 hour work week, generous unemployment and housing benefits, and heavily subsidized higher education.
Everything the left says they want AND THEY'RE STILL PROTESTING AND BURNING SHIT DOWN.

Looking at why the original six Avengers all survived a "random" 50/50 universal purge reveals how Doctor Strange actually beat Thanos in Infinity War.
Because Thanos is a fanatic obsessed with proving his ideology is "fair and dispassionate," he refused to manually pick and choose who died, leaving the Snap entirely to a blind cosmic probability wave (with the sole exception of Tony Stark, whose life he explicitly swore to spare in exchange for the Time Stone).
When Strange viewed 14,000,605 possible futures on Titan, he wasn't just looking at how they fought Thanos, he was looking at the randomized outcomes of the Snap across millions of different timestamps.
By stalling Thanos in combat for the exact right number of minutes before surrendering the Time Stone, Strange forced the Snap to occur at the one specific millisecond in history where the random 50/50 algorithm spared Tony, Steve, Thor, Bruce, Natasha, Clint, and Scott Lang simultaneously.

do you know that your back is there?
my boyfriend asked me to help him write a birthday message for his female best friend because he said he didn't want it to sound dry. i helped him write something sweet, and he even added a few personal memories. when he posted it, she replied, “you know you’re still my favorite person, nobody can replace you.” i laughed it off until i saw his reply underneath....

Which technically means your child is safer attending a riot in Paris than a school in America.
