Congrats to both Coaches of Maggie’s & F’Birds - great to see ex Aust Players putting their hand up to coach and what a good tactical game they presented - the Ash Brazill move to C was the move Well done to both teams.
I think her name was Linda Pearce. And still my favourite 🤩

Favourite netball writer (hint: just to narrow the field, they must have driven to Packenham to interview you while still a cadet reporter 30+ years ago and shared multiple white wines since) ????
Serena Guthrie by far

@Coach_Plum hi! Firstly, thank you for doing the Q+A. My question is who do you think the best England Rose is currently, including those from the 2018 squad?
Tippet...with the lay-up. But she wasn’t the first - Jean Pierre from T&T used the lay-up at the WC in 1967...but no one really went on with it after her retirement. Tippet has added another dimension to the game with the move

@Coach_Plum I am loving this Q and A! Who did you believe came into netball and changed the game with their own style?
Sav Blanc (Marlborough only) & Bubbles 🍾
Rehab, rehab, rehab! You need to look at every step enduring pain as a positive to get back on court

What would your guidance be to build confidence (mental mostly) and strength to get back into court following an ACL reconstruction?
Great question. Not that sure about the depth of Australian Netball as I unfortunately haven’t been involved with the development of Aus for sometime. Possibly Koenen

Cynna Neele. Unfortunately dropped out of the game too soon

Of the players you coached at the AIS & that ridiculously stacked World Youth Cup 2000 side, who were the players that didn't go all the way to the Diamonds you felt could have but didn't for whatever reason?
(I have my biased pick as been friends with her since 1996 🙂)
We are far to technical on out of court throw ins. Don’t like Bonus points. But I love the fact that players can now play netball as their full time job.

@Coach_Plum What’s the best and worst thing about how the game has evolved over the last 20 years?
Club level - McKinnis. Diamonds - Von Bertouch, Corletto, Gerard and Ellis. South Africa - Pretorius

Hi @Coach_Plum which netball superstar is a game breaker and performed best when it mattered like the goat Dustin Martin
She was the most brilliant athlete and absolutely fantastic to watch. Her athletic ability and competitive spirit made her a privilege to coach

When NZ have the full court press on- we created the dummy leads to pull NZ to one side of the court which then opened the opposite side of the court up. This allows you to expose & penetrate through their zone
Sometime you need to be direct and straight to the point. You need to be firm but careful doing this...but by giving them clear direction you will help get them back on track.

Norma - how do you stop being 'competitive' as a coach when your players are loosing on court and you're getting a bit worked up?🤬
Definitely not @LizzyLegsEllis 😅. I’d choose Mo’onia Gerrard

In your time coaching national sides which defender would you pick to shoot a goal to win you a World Cup
Can’t split 2 winning World Cup teams. Wouldn’t be fair...
