A lot of the parents yelling at HS coaches, never donated to the fundraiser, volunteered for Thursday meals, helped the booster club, made a sandwich, sent their kids to training watched any film. NO COACH WANTS TO LOSE.

I take a lot of pride in knowing I’ve never had to email another coach asking them to help me hold a student-athlete accountable in my class.
Why?
I handle business and do my job.
Turns out classroom management & teaching are actually part of the job description. Shocker. 🤯

🚨 We’re done pretending this is a level playing field.
One school is practicing on a field that should have been replaced 10 years ago. Their coaches are begging for equipment, fundraising for uniforms, squeezing kids onto buses 🚌 and wondering whether the budget can even cover transportation.
Across town, another program has pristine facilities 🏟️, resources most public schools could only dream about, financial aid and scholarship opportunities to help attract students, and the money to get wherever they need to go.
Then the adults running high school athletics look at those two programs and say:
🏆 Perfect. Go compete for the same championship.
Give us a break. 🙄
The problem isn’t the private school taking advantage of every resource available to them. They should.
The problem is the people in charge who can look at two completely different realities and continue pretending they represent competitive equality.
🚌 If one program is worried about whether the bus is getting approved while another is deciding which upgraded facility to use, STOP CALLING IT A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. 📢
At some point, competitive balance has to mean more than putting everybody in the same bracket and pretending the logo on the jersey is the only difference.
Public schools deserve better than being told to “compete harder” in a system that refuses to acknowledge what they’re competing against.
🎯 If you’re responsible for competitive balance and you’re comfortable calling this fair, the problem isn’t the schools anymore.
It’s you. 🎤

I'm just enamored with the "roof." This will be the next phase for SC high schools. If you build this, "they will come" - both players and coaches. No more worrying about what time to practice due to heat.

I appreciate the work. But I am truly confused about why this is going to help very many coaches. Most programs don’t have an outside booster club. And if they do, they raise just enough money to help with costs. This won’t raise pay for the vast majority of coaches
Florida school districts have officially run out of excuses.
The law is signed.
The funding mechanism exists.
And coaches can now legally be compensated through boosters without touching district budgets.
So if a district still chooses to block it, delay it, bury it in policy, or hide behind bureaucracy, understand something clearly:
That is no longer “following the rules.”
That is a choice.
A choice to ignore the people sacrificing nights, weekends, holidays, and time away from their own families to build opportunities for student athletes across this state.
You watched parents fill school board meetings over masks.
You watched communities organize when they felt ignored.
Now imagine what happens when coaches, parents, athletes, alumni, and entire communities realize districts are standing in the way of lawful compensation that costs the district NOTHING.
Florida coaches carried this profession on their backs for decades while districts benefited from the culture, success, and community they built.
Those days are over.
Every district is now on notice.

I am getting really tired of out-of-season coaches and clubs pressuring student athletes to participate in weekday practices or weekend tournaments while they are competing in in-season sports.
Let kids compete and be all-in during their season.

The weight room is the most influential room in a school.
It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom.
A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.

I'm the only coach that had to pay their dues when first starting in coaching?🤔 Painting fields, exchanging film, washing clothes and sitting in coaches meetings and not saying anything until spoken to. Now it's give a coach a title and they're considered gurus. – at West Columbia, SC

Really don’t care if anyone disagrees but the 1000lbs club for FB is Squat, Clean, and Bench Press. 450 lbs S, 300lbs B,and 250 lbs PC, calling a back breaking bad form deadlift part of the club is phony #ExplosiveTeamsWin
