Don’t normalize this stuff or applaud it. It’s not a badge of honor to be absent for your kids or family. Coaching requires sacrifice but not like this.
If your program is about growing people, teach them how to be great moms/dads/spouses etc and not just how to read a defense
New #Bills HC Joe Brady, talking about the sacrifices coaches’ wives make, mentioned how he once called his wife on the way to a game while she was going into labor — and found out after the game that she had given birth on her own.
“This game takes away time, energy, and presence from you, and you’ve carried the weight that comes with this job so I can pursue my calling.”

Imagine spending your Christmas Day waiting for hours & freezing your flaps off to give gifts to those who are not in need. Take your gifts to a fucking food bank or something, you nauseating hole crawlers 🤢 I will never, ever understand this fucking nonsense 🙄

what kind of weirdo do you have to be to be buying a bunch of rich toffs who don't know nor care about you, presents? why not use that money for a charity donation or buying a present for a child that doesn't have anything?

🏀 Thank You, Neal Hopkins 🙌
Huge thanks to Neal for his brilliant work as our Basketball England North Talent Manager. He shortly steps down from his role to make way for the new full time positions being appointed.
Neal has been a great support to us all in the North West!
This is the key to our entire pathway, it’s not rocket science and has been proven by numerous smaller nations like Finland.
Until our entire coaching pathway is reformed and updated we are fighting a losing battle.
"We invested so much of our efforts into coaches, their education & development."
The architect of Finland's basketball revolution, Henrik Dettmann, credits their rise to investment in coaching.

💡His functional athleticism was on full display during the first day of the camp, as he provided some eye-catching rim protection flashes along with finishing strong at the rim. Good overall effort on the defensive end — especially at the POA, where he really harassed opposing handlers.

In any functioning country, he would be ousted from the White House and banished from public life forever
Sorry, I’m not buying it. Everyone saw this coming. If you didn’t, it’s time to do your research or broaden your understanding.
