Metallica for the Super Bowl halftime show to unite America. Metallica black transcends red vs. blue!
Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently called out artists who turn their concerts into political rallies, saying: “Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their BULLSH*T.” Do you agree with James? Should musicians keep politics out of concerts, or should artists use the stage to speak about what they believe in? Let’s debate. What do you think? #Metallica #JamesHetfield #HeavyMetal #Metal #ThisDayInMetal

On this day in 1835, Texans faced down a demand for their cannon with a simple answer: “Come and Take It.” The Battle of Gonzales became the opening clash of the Texas Revolution. Today, as socialists try to take over our state, we’ll fight like hell to keep Texas, Texas.

My thoughts exactly… Why not learn more songs in the same time it would take to learn one completely start to finish? Call it lazy or efficient, I don’t care 🤷🏻‍♂️🤘
Why rhythm guitar? Scott Ian tells Billy Corgan why learning the whole song always came more naturally than chasing the solo. More from Scott Ian on The Magnificent Others here: youtu.be/8bFUNuIqQHY?si=qyYS… @billycorganTMO

People may believe the rumors or judge you by a story they only heard. You can’t defend yourself to everyone. Stay true to who you are, live by your principles, and let people discover the real you firsthand. Cherish those who know your heart.
A co-worker transferred to our department. He was good friends with my ex, so when he was assigned to my classroom, there was an obvious awkwardness. We kept it professional and went about work. A couple of months later, he stopped by my classroom after school. He told me that before he ever worked with me, he already had an entire picture of who I was, based on what “others” had told him. "That picture was wrong.” He hadn’t known I was still fighting cancer. He hadn’t known what it took for me to keep showing up every day, for my kids at home and for the kids in my classroom. He only knew what he had been told. But then he saw me for himself. He saw the kids learning. He saw them growing. He saw that I genuinely cared. Sometimes people will believe a version of you they were given without ever taking the time to know you. Let them. Eventually, some people will get close enough to see the truth for themselves There is something powerful about being known by someone who once believed the wrong story about you, and having them realize they were wrong simply because they took the time to see you for who you really are. I didn’t have to defend myself. I just stayed as me.

I watched both of SRV’s ACL performances I taped live on VHS countless times not to mention wearing out all the tapes & CDs I had of his. Truly a tragic day when he passed.

I speak for a lot of men when I say this: A man can be running on 4 hours of sleep. He can stay up until 2 AM and still wake up at 6. He can have more bills than money in his account. He can be buried in debt. He can be broke as hell. He can be carrying problems he hasn't told a single person about. He can be lonely. He can feel like nobody notices his effort and nobody is coming to save him. Yet somehow, he keeps moving. He goes to work. He shows up. He keeps trying. He keeps building. Because deep down, most men carry a stubborn belief that things will get better. Not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But eventually. The business will grow. The debt will get paid. The hard work will pay off. The bad season will pass. It's not always confidence. Sometimes it's pure faith. Faith that if they keep showing up, keep grinding, and refuse to quit, one day everything they've been fighting for will finally work out. And honestly, that quiet faith is what keeps a lot of men going.

Real strength doesn't need to prove itself. Real strength doesn't perform. It doesn't need an audience. It just shows up, does what's necessary, and doesn't ask for credit. Save this as a reminder next time you feel like you have to prove something.
