The show must go on, @BraAubrey ❤️

From planning to execution — a proud moment for the Faculty of ICT. Yesterday, I had the privilege of hosting the Faculty of ICT Spring Symposium 2026, held under the theme: “Innovating for Africa’s Digital Future: Skills, Research & Technologies for the Next Decade.” What made the day particularly meaningful was seeing months of planning, coordination and academic collaboration come together into a platform where our colleagues could share research, exchange ideas and engage in meaningful conversations about Africa’s digital future. The symposium brought together research across areas including Artificial Intelligence, ICT Education, Cybersecurity, Emerging Technologies, Data Science, Digital Decision Intelligence, Software Engineering and Digital Innovation. I am particularly proud of the contributions of our researchers, presenters, session chairs, Scientific Committee, colleagues, and guests. Each presentation added another perspective to an important conversation: how can we use research, skills and technology to address the challenges and opportunities facing Africa? Hosting an event like this reminds us that academic leadership is not only about managing programmes and processes. It is also about creating platforms for people to share knowledge, challenge ideas, collaborate and build something bigger together. A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make the Faculty of ICT Spring Symposium 2026 a success. The conversation has started. Now we need to turn research into impact. #FacultyOfICT #SpringSymposium2026 #ICTResearch #AfricaDigitalFuture #ArtificialIntelligence #Cybersecurity #DataScience #DigitalInnovation #HigherEducation #Research #Innovation #RosebankInternational
