The NFL record is 68 yards. Some commenter on Twitter or X or whatever it’s called nowadays said it hit the back of the net. So, technically it sailed longer than 69 yards. But, it’s preseason. So while it will count for his personal record, it just won’t count for the NFL record books… Because it’s just preseason. But, still. And, yes, it’s still just preseason…But… Our presumed (perhaps not as of this morning) QB2…who is not a rook, by way of reminder, just should not be throwing a 99 yard pick 6. I’m sorry. Even if it is just preseason. But, still, my boy Jameis, now with the Giants, had him a good day. He even ran one in for a TD, to wit: “Sometimes you have to show the young school cats that I can still be an athlete and get out of the pocket,” Winston said. Even if it’s just preseason. Well, we have one more crack at just preseason…after which there are no more ifs, ands or buts. And, everything, at that point…will count for the record books.
