Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy. Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks.

The fossil fuel age is flailing & failing. We're at the dawn of a new & clean energy era. An era where cheap, abundant, renewable energy powers a world rich in economic opportunity. We have the tools to power the future for humanity. This is our moment of opportunity.

Blunt from @SwissRe. If you want to tackle #climate, take the transition seriously. 'Mitigating climate change requires the global real economy to transform. That’s one of the reasons why Swiss Re supports clients in the transition to a net-zero economy' swissre.com/dam/jcr:6d5cbb29…

AirFrance: @airfrance your business practices are atrocious and inhumane. Overbooking and then depriving passengers of essential legroom - with zero notice - is just plain wrong. Abysmal. Bottom of the barrel. #DontFlyAirFrance

I was deeply moved by my meeting with coastal communities in Samoa forced to move their homes inland. Sea levels are rising at a rate not seen in at least 3,000 years. If we don’t reverse these climate change trends, we will see this tragedy in other coastal areas globally.
