Unfortunately stereotypes & stigma are entrenched. As a doctor, it frustrates me that #addiction isn't treated #likeanyotherhealthdisorder & people feel they will be judged if they seek help. We need to do a lot better - it's time to #RethinkAddiction @rethinkadd @TurningPointAU

When I at last went to a doctor about my alcohol use he said to me “you don’t look like the sort of person who has an alcohol problem”. I was there specifically about my problem with alcohol.
