After yesterday’s Midlands adventure, myself and @AnnBishopRowe found ourselves a bit bored today……so off we went to the East Lancashire Railway to do a round trip behind D8069!

Sometimes it's worth getting soaked for a shot.. D8069, 20069, was being taken off the stock in a wet Bury Bolton Street station yesterday, a dash down the platform in the rain for a shot resulted in some well timed clag & tones from the driver 😃👍 top loco @ChopperD8069 18/9/26

Paddington, 4th September 1983 and 50049 (nearest) is about to depart with 1B18, the 0845 to Penzance. My notes say 50031 is on the left but it later worked 1V84 1046 Liverpool -Penzance forward from Birmingham, so it may be another 50?

Summer Saturday on an East Midlands Ranger - (2).
Saturday 16-7-83 - after bailing off 40129 at Peterborough (1E34 0815 Man P - Gt Yarmouth) I can't remember how I got to Boston for these 2 - 20187 & 183, 1M02 1237 Skegness - Leicester. Possibly 47026 on 1B60 0936 KX - Skegness?
