In India old age homes are unnecessarily demonised. Old age homes should be made pleasant places for old people to stay, where they have peers, medical support, general healthcare, no expectations of caregiving for grandkids and easy life. I would prefer to live in such a community rather than with my child's family, if I grow that old.
