Keith Jarrett’s solo performance of “Over the Rainbow” in Tokyo in 1984 is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding and moving piano solo covers of all time. Rather than simply restating the familiar melody, the legendary pianist infused the piece with new life through his brilliant improvisation, refined harmonic structure, and profound emotional depth.
De verontwaardiging, over het geweld en vernielingen tijdens betogingen, is onverholen en algemeen bij de pers.
Van waar die ommezwaai ?
Dat geweld is er al 15 jaar zo. Toen had de pers geen zichtbare bezwaren.

Anti-Mamdani chants at the protest:
“Zohran, what do you say? How many kids did you kill today?”
“700,000 dead. Mamdani, your hands are red!”
“Traitor, traitor, come on out! You sold all your people out!”
“Zohran, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide!”

Yesterday some of you defended the early media coverage, saying that's how many outlets first reported the flydubai attack.
Listen to someone who was on the plane. He told Fox this morning that he was messaging out from the aircraft that it was a terror attack, while he says global media was reporting a fight between two pilots.
No outlet could have run a passenger's text as fact. But his complaint is about the default assumption, not the sourcing.
"It feels like there is a sentiment that the media out there globally allows it to happen . . . if it's something that is related to Israelis or Jews, you treat it different than any other country, and that's for me how it felt."
That's a passenger's experience, not a study. But it's worth hearing before you try to tell him his account is wrong. The question isn't whether outlets should have printed his messages. It's why a pilot fight was the framing so many outlets reached for.

"We hebben lang gedacht dat kleuters woorden en kennis gretig opnemen met enkel impliciete leerkansen. Daar komen we intussen van terug. Instructiemomenten binnen een inhoudelijke leeromgeving zijn evenzeer essentieel om kennis te doen kleven." klasse.be/790863/meer-kennis…
Indien er wat meer gelachen werd met dingen die je niet au sérieux kan nemen, zou de wereld er stuk rustiger van worden.

ALBANESE: “Anti-Semitism, as I often say, exists; it’s a scourge; it’s discrimination—not just against Jews, but against Semitic peoples. When the term “anti-Semitism” was first coined, it referred to anyone who wasn’t European and came from the Middle East. Jews were Semites; they were considered a Semitic people by the Nazis and the fascists of Europe in the last century.
And so, yes, since that was by far the largest group present in Europe, anti-Semitism came to be equated with the concept of anti-Judaism; however, today it is understood as hatred toward Jews.
You said that, in reality, the concept of anti-Semitism is broader. In fact, when they were taken to the gas chambers, there are some testimonies about life in the concentration camps that mention how Jews were referred to as “Muslims.”
So there was a racist hatred toward non-whites, the “impure,” and non-Christians, which eventually crystallized into antisemitism as hatred toward Jews; and hatred toward Jews simply because they are Jews does exist, it is extremely serious and must not be confused with criticism of the State of Israel, which has nothing to do with the religion Israel professes, but with what Israel does, with the crimes Israel commits.
I am absolutely not interested in—that is, the religious aspect has no significance for me—on the contrary, there is freedom of worship both for Judaism and for the other religions of Palestine. But that is not the issue.
Today, the issue of anti-Semitism is being used and exploited to silence the debate regarding Israel’s crimes, because Israel presents itself as a Jewish state, setting itself up as the defender and representative of all Jews.”
