The five climate activists have been sentenced to 4-5 years in prison, simply for wanting to protest PEACEFULLY against the ever-worsening climate crisis. It’s absurd to jail peaceful protesters while giving a free pass to the Big Polluters robbing us of a habitable planet.

The blue morpho butterfly's remarkable color is not due to pigmentation but iridescence, with microscopic scales on its wings reflecting light, creating what is known as structural coloration. 📽: Joseph See

This week, decision-makers gather for the government’s Farm to Fork summit. Will #FarmingVoices be heard? This film puts farmers at the heart of the debate. What challenges do they face, and how does a resilient approach to farming support real food security?

The level of stupidity & ignorance displayed by Luke Johnson is staggering. This kind of denial & nonsensical rhetoric serves no purpose in a balanced debate. We have to make lying wrong again. As ever, well done @ChrisGPackham for communicating the truth.

In the small print of the latest Defra Environmental Land Management additions, new generous payments for farmers to establish ribbon wetlands along watercourses on their land. This is huge, because riparian buffers make the best nature corridors, as well as helping dramatically to reduce both flooding and drought - and even more so when they have beavers managing them instead of people. gov.uk/government/publicatio…

UK Govt hands out 24 new North Sea oil/gas licences. Won't increase energy security, companies can sell oil/gas anywhere. Won't reduce price, no curbs on profiteering. Companies shift profits, dodge taxes. Public purse bears cost of decommissioning rigs theguardian.com/business/202…
