I know that we can count on Olivia to stand up for people, and their human rights and their dignity and wellbeing. It's so important that everyone gets out to vote on Monday October 26th Olivia. Or we could get stuck with a mayor we do not want and cannot afford. Brad Bradford will say anything to get elected. He flip flops. He cant be counted on. We can't trust him. We know who @oliviachow Chow is. So please make sure you go and vote for Olivia. A Mayor we can trust.

This is such revisionist nonsense. Back when I was at the federal cabinet retreat pleading with them to get the international student situation under control (and getting called a racist for my efforts), Alberta was in the media asking for the population to grow *faster*.
The Prime Minister and I have found common ground on many things over the last 18 months. However, it appears that he has yet to fully understand just how damaging the open-border policies of his predecessor were. Those policies caused Canada’s cost of living to skyrocket, overwhelmed our social services, and made homes and jobs unattainable for thousands of young Canadians. That’s why I’m encouraging Albertans to vote ‘yes to the rest’ to give our government a strong mandate to take more control over our immigration system, so that we can prioritize economic migrants, put Albertans first for jobs, and ensure Albertans’ social services are sustainable. We’re also asking for a strong mandate to work with willing provinces to reform the courts, abolish the senate, and protect provincial jurisdiction. I look forward to hearing from Albertans on October 19th.

I’m deeply troubled by the Toronto Star’s reporting that the Ford government hid a study showing problem gambling rates significantly higher than expected. Ontarians deserve transparency, not a government that keeps them in the dark. As premier, I’ll put an end to Ford’s harmful online gambling advertising scheme and make sure Ontarians have the treatment and support they need to recover from gambling addiction. #ONpoli

This happened at a school in a predominantly Jewish area. Proud of the kids who pushed back and reported Mary Thompson. @YRDSB, do better. Our kids need teachers who don’t make them feel unsafe.
Hey @WCI_YRDSB, is it common practice for your teachers to provoke and create a hostile environment for their students? Teachers are there to EDUCATE. Using classroom authority to push an anti-Israel political agenda or make Jewish students feel targeted is unacceptable. Jewish and pro-Israel students deserve respect and a classroom free from intimidation. What are you doing to ensure that? Bravo to these kids for standing up to this teacher! 👏

“Drop out or go broke.” That’s the choice students face because of Doug Ford’s OSAP freeze caused by years of not paying attention. No one, especially a single parent, should be punished for trying to build a better life for their family. As Premier, I’ll watch every dollar closely. I’ll restore OSAP funding to legitimate colleges, and make sure our education system works for hardworking Ontarians.

I’m so grateful to call Ontario home, where I’ve raised my beautiful children and made so many cherished memories gathered around the table at Thanksgiving. For me, this time of year is about appreciating the people we love and reflecting on the kindness of our neighbours, the strength of our communities, and the little moments that bring us closer together. From my family to yours, wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, good food, and time with the people who mean the most to you. 🦃🧡🍂

The elections Mahmoud Abbas promised as part of Canada's (and others) statehood recognition deal have been pushed back from November to September 2027. I'm shocked, shocked, I say.

Radical leftists in the West who present themselves as “pro-Palestine” have stood with Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Iran’s Islamic regime, and Assad. What happened to standing with oppressed people—the civilians these groups and regimes have terrorized, including Palestinians?

UPDATE: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, now in the 21st year of a four-year presidential term, has just confirmed that he will not honour his commitment to the Canadian government on Palestinian statehood. As reported by the @TorontoStar, Hamas called the postponement “a step in the right direction.” The decision comes amid reports of an “alliance between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and a bloc led by former Fatah security chief Mohammed Dahlan.” The Canadian government must now hold the Palestinian Authority accountable for failing to meet its commitment to hold “general elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part.” More details: thestar.com/news/world/middl…
Following confirmation that the Palestinian Authority (PA) is breaking its commitment of elections in 2026, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) released the following statement calling on the Government of Canada to take concrete measures to hold the PA accountable: “Just over a year ago, Prime Minister Carney recognized Palestinian statehood on the basis of commitments made by the Palestinian Authority, including holding general elections in 2026 and undertaking 'much-needed reforms.' “Today, the PA has confirmed it has broken its commitment to hold elections in 2026. The PA has also failed to enact reforms, including ending payments to terrorists and the families of those who murdered innocent civilians. “While Israel faces punitive measures from the Canadian government, the Palestinian Authority has yet to face accountability for failing to deliver on its commitments. This is a dangerous double standard that has implications for both the region and here in Canada where security experts warn that criticism of Israel has been exploited to fuel antisemitism, violence and even acts of terror. “Prime Minister Carney has said Canadian foreign policy is guided by 'taking the world as it is, not as we wish it to be,' and by the pursuit of influence. “But influence must be measured by results. If recognizing Palestinian statehood has not secured even the commitments on which that recognition was predicated, Canadians deserve to know what Canada's approach is achieving. Canadians need to know what concrete steps their government will now take to hold the PA accountable and ensure its policies produce meaningful progress toward peace."

Another way to think about Trump announcement today: If he increased US diesel imports from Canada by 4%, he would gain as much fuel as from this Russia deal. But the Canadians are global super-villains, so who wants to buy from them when you could enrich Putin instead?

We are seeing both the Bowman and Fairclough campaigns heating up in the race for first in fundraising. What’s interesting is I think this starts to change the front runner narrative a bit. #onpoli #cdnpoli
Latest real-time disclosure for @LFairclo was submitted today with $58,251 new contributions over $200. Lee Fairclough's new total: $462,004. Lee has strong fundraising momentum with the 2nd highest total donations and highest number of individual donors #onpoli #olpldr

Ontario needs the focus and financial discipline Doug Ford’s Conservative Government has failed to deliver. As Ontario’s economy and priorities change, we need to reassess how public dollars are spent and adapt programs that no longer deliver the results Ontarians need. I will end ineffective and outdated spending and direct public dollars toward priorities that drive long-term economic growth. Read my savings plan at stephaniebowman.ca.
