Very excited to see a short story I wrote published in @BritishEcolSoc Summer issue of The Niche! Thank you for publishing me 🤩
If you have the magazine, I hope you enjoy reading it!
Fieldwork prep continues, bought some quail eggs to get an idea of size…
I need to put them in the fridge but (unsurprisingly) I’ve never bought these before and I am fascinated with how small and beautifully speckled they are 😍
Recipe ideas anyone?

Fieldwork prepping/equipment gathering in full swing! 😄
Appealing to Twitter friends on the off chance… does anyone have any camera traps they wouldn’t mind me borrowing from end of this month to around start of July?
Advice on places to try also much appreciated!
To Guernsey folk - a shrewly exciting challenge for you to help with greater white toothed shrew ID in the UK 📷 guernseypress.com/news/2023/…
Great workshop from @bric_york on promoting research with social media today. A task to Google ourselves led me to the podcast I was interviewed for last year for @Mammal_Society
Finally getting brave enough to listen back, and even to share it....

Still can’t believe the @ACCE_DTP conference venue was this beautiful 14th century building, not a bad place to hang out for a couple of days 😍

We've wrapped up our final day of the ACCE 2022 Student conference and what an event it was! Thank you to all the presenters that took part for sharing their science. Here's to next year 🍻 #studentconference #ACCEDTP
Such an engaging plenary to end the @ACCE_DTP conference on from @Sketchy_raptor - science & art through history, the importance of visual storytelling in #scicomm & the need for art/graphics training for scientists + bringing artists into the research process
Such a variety of projects being presented today, and a really thought provoking workshop on conservation ethics, looking forward to tomorrow
A very successful Day One of the student conference today in York. Well done to all presenters! We are looking to more tomorrow on Day Two #accedtp #studentconference
Enjoying Day 1 of the @ACCE_DTP conference. A really interesting talk on Open Access from @F1000Research & of publishing work BEFORE peer review & having reviews visible alongside the work as they come in. Great for transparency & speeding up process e.g. for informing policy
A fun away day for the @ACCE_DTP conference including some mug painting 🎨 I don’t think my attempt at a beach turned out too bad, will have to wait til it’s been fired to find out!
