I really enjoyed the beautiful talk on FSGS at @GlomCon and the elegant work from @podocytes. Molecular signatures may be the future ancillary study to lead to precision diagnosis in multiple kidney diseases, including FSGS. Let's explore more. . . /1

Curious how statistical experts assess this - stopped because of obvious treatment effect, but obviously almost crossed unity with a lower CI of 1.04!
Presented at #LIVES2026:
An open-label, randomized, noninferiority trial showed that intermittent hemodialysis was not noninferior to continuous renal-replacement therapy in critically ill adults with acute kidney injury. Full ICRAKI trial results: nej.md/472QMel
Editorial: Continuous or Intermittent Renal-Replacement Therapy — What is the Question? nej.md/4egLaB1

ALT A graph from the Original Article "Intermittent or Continuous Renal-Replacement Therapy in Acute Kidney Injury." The trial name, ICRAKI, is in parentheses after the title. The graph shows the cumulative probability of death from randomization through day 90, as estimated with the Kaplan–Meier method. The trial results are being presented at the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. The logo of the New England Journal of Medicine is at the bottom.

Kidney biopsy findings in a patient treated with complement inhibitor-pegcetacoplan. First one for me.
Glomeruli appear and vacuolated and washed out. The vacuoles are most prominent in the podocytes.
The interstitium also contains vacuolated cells.
Glomeruli appear non proliferative and were negative for Ig and C3 on Immunofluorescence.
However, there was extensive global glomerulosclerosis and tubular atrophy and interstitial fibrosis.

We updated our Susztaklabbiobank website susztaklab.com
For almost two decades our laboratory has collected and profiled human kidney tissue, paired it with mouse and rat models and with the genetics of millions of people, and built one of the most complete maps of the human kidney that exists. This site is where we share it: genome-wide association results, expression, methylation, protein and open-chromatin maps, single-cell and single-nucleus atlases, spatial transcriptomes and animal-model resources, each in an interactive browser you can query today. Please send your suggestions how we could improve our site. Let's cure kidney disease together !
