$ASTS: 🚨 AT&T CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER JEFF MCELFRESH CONGRATULATES AST SPACEMOBILE ON RECEIVING FCC STA TO TEST GRAIN MANAGEMENT'S 800 MHz SPECTRUM
➡️ The potential implication here is that AT&T and the Joint Venture could be working closely with AST SpaceMobile and Grain to deploy this spectrum for satellite services. As we all know, Grain's 800MHz fits very nicely with AT&T + Verizon 850MHz.
➡️ Read this line very closely: "This progress builds on our announced satellite-connectivity joint venture, demonstrating how industry collaboration can extend reliable coverage to even more people and places."
Jeff McElfresh Linked in Post:
"One great musician doesn’t make an orchestra.
Similarly, connectivity doesn’t need just one technology. It needs the right technologies working together in harmony.
Last week marked another key milestone for AST SpaceMobile with the work underway to close America’s connectivity gaps.
Satellite-based internet service isn’t a replacement for advanced fiber or 5G connectivity, but rather a complementary technology we’ll use to bring AT&T customers the best possible connectivity experience – wherever they go.
The goal here is simple – help people stay connected in rural communities, remote areas and other places that can’t be reached with traditional wireless and fiber infrastructure.
This progress builds on our announced satellite-connectivity joint venture, demonstrating how industry collaboration can extend reliable coverage to even more people and places.
Customer-focused innovation means using all available technologies to achieve ubiquitous connectivity. That’s a win for the whole country."

Woah! 160 MHz in upper C-band to be auctioned next summer!
President Trump is restoring America’s leadership & raising billions of dollars for the Treasury in the process.
Today, I announced the @FCC will vote July 22 to auction a large swath of prime, mid-band spectrum next summer—putting America back ahead on 5G, 6G, and next-gen connectivity.
The FCC moved with record speed and in close coordination with other agencies, including the FAA.
The plan allows providers to light up this spectrum faster than many expected.
It means even faster speeds for consumers, downward pressure on prices, and billions for the Treasury.
I want to thank the FCC’s talented team for their great work on this effort. They are the best.

📱🌎 Mobile networks consume ~160 TWh/year, but energy costs eat up 10%-25% of OPEX for CSPs! There's a shift underway: by managing/generating their energy, CSPs can cut costs, boost revenue, and lower carbon footprints while embracing renewables. 🌱⚡

Spectrum is the most critical starting point in our telecommunications industry journey - we must find a way to unlock the potential for US growth that is today an unoptimised national asset !
China is allocating nearly 4X more 5G spectrum than the U.S. Without more licensed spectrum, the U.S. risks falling behind. Secure America’s global leadership with a pipeline of 5G spectrum. bit.ly/3USGt67
