In an environment simulating communications over 1,000 km, the PoC confirmed the feasibility of use cases required for remote construction work control across an All-Photonics Network (APN), the in-tunnel optical communication network, and wireless communications. It also demonstrated that remote inspection could identify cracks 0.2 mm wide3, one of the construction control criteria for tunnel walls.
