Holy shit! Gears Of War E-Day VR is coming.
The full campaign playable with proper 6DOF VR, manually reloading etc.
I grew up on Gears. This one is exciting for me.

Starting to understand this take more and more and here is why this is becoming the common feeling
-movement was nerfed from beta
-lancer was buffed from 1st beta update
-retro is op (2 on the map at once)
- new sprint makes you stand upright leading to being more exposed.
-no utility that stuns (stops shooting)
- every map has oppressive spray weapons (retro, hammy, striga, ripper)
The fixes Iād make for this feel to better is to increase the take cover speed, slightly reduce stopping power (all weapons).
Your personal skill issue of poor positioning and low utility usage does matter but this game is still extremely rifle heavy.

marcus wasn't the "focus" of any campaign besides 3, he wasn't "sidelined" he was actually done very well, marcus at this age was a grieving man who rarely spoke to anyone besides his late bestfriend, his hesitancy with dom and reluctant silence is on brand for his character.

Said this over and over. The small community that stuck by gears for over 15 years, adapted to and mastered movement n kept this franchise alive.
Imma say this once and one time only, Esports didnāt kill gears. The people who didnāt want to take the time to learn the game. ie: learning how to bounce or use the shotgun did. The competitive scene/players kept the game alive. But yall donāt want to admit that. I wanted to play gears 4 comp so bad but I didnāt have good enough Internet to compete. Once I did gears 5 was about to come out. And I only got to play that. I want esports to come to E Day because I donāt want gears 5 to be my only competitive game. Watch what happens if esports never comes to this game. I can understand how it makes everyone feel but watching casuals say esports killed gears irritates me more than anything

To watch this guy play in pick up lobbies to shooting with me for a very long time I completely understand this because the truth is your "Comp" players really did help keep it alive along with montagers & lore fanatics but the private lobbies is what really kept it going!!

i feel like the closest we got to satisfying everyone was having core/comp tunings with core ranked modes like guardian, tdm, koth etc. being on core where the majority playerbase was, and comp players having exe, esca, 2v gnash and comp warmup was the best middle ground.
