Gangs have taken control of several of our properties in Aurora, Colorado.
In an attempt to discredit this fact for political purposes and avoid governmental accountability, some have spread false information about our situation. Let’s set the record straight...🧵

Due to ongoing litigation, we won’t be commenting or conducting interviews - but invite and encourage the press to attend all our future court proceedings.
No matter how anyone tries to spin it, the truth is the truth and the truth will come out.
These gangs have been allowed to take over our apartment buildings and terrorize innocent people.
We hope the message is learned so it doesn't spread any more!
Victims at 12th and Dallas were kidnapped, bound, pistol whipped, beaten and tortured last night.
Finally some transparency from @AuroraPD who admits there’s a “high assumption” that the 14 armed Venezuelans involved are TdA. Chief Chamberlain says “this is 100% gang activity.”
Why the sudden transparency with the public? Chamberlain also says he will work with ICE to deport dangerous criminals, will @denverpolice Chief Thomas do the same?

About two years ago, i broke a migrant story in Travis Staten Island. Out of the blue, 100s of migrants were walking around the area due to a new migrant hotel that was just placed there.
I walked up to some migrants and I saw them ditch 3 or 4 caps of some beige substance in them, I'm thinking it was either heroin or fentanyl.
When I spoke with them, they told me they thought I was a cop .
I explained to them that I'm a reporter and they seemed a little more calm .
The Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua has set up massive drug shops all over the city and some are being ran and stold right out and in migrant shelters and hotels , especially that pink cocaine called Tusi
A lot of things don't make the news but I do know for a fact the NYPD has made multiple huge busted of drugs being ran by TDA and other migrants gangs.
At one migrant shelter in Brooklyn NY, two migrants were shot in the head and murdered over drug terf .
So yes @derekmaltz_sr is 110% correct, drugs are being brought in and a lot of it is definitely being brought in

There was a lot of lying from @AuroraPD leadership. Former APD Police Chief Heather Morris produced a video saying there were no migrant gangs, and the media used that self-produced video to further that lie. There was no pushback. @DaniJurinsky will make sure this all comes out. A lot of people are going to get caught up in this.
It just keeps getting more damning and more damning as we go. @AuroraPD officers issued warrants and know the truth. @AuroraPD leadership has been lockstep trying to bury this. I'm just not sure why. NEW: @ICEgov tells me Denyeer Aramillo Meneses and Edison Pena Angulo arrested this week in #NewYorkCity during an onoing @HSI_HQ investigation ARE members of Venezuelan gang Tren De Aragua. They're now back in custody facing deportation.
Another law enforcement sources confirms that these two men were captured on video, in the viral incident showing armed men trying to get inside an #Aurora Colorado apartment back in August of this year.
ICE tells me they both entered the country illegally in 2023 near El Paso, Texas. Edison Pena Angulo was ordered to be deported in Feb 2024 after being arrested by officers in Westminster, Colorado -- but never was.
Both men had active warrants for their arrest issued by @AuroraPD following the August apartment incident.
The arrest of these two men here in NYC is significant because up until NOW -- none of the armed men captured on video at the Aurora apartment complex were confirmed TDA members. Now we know at least TWO men ARE indeed members of Tren de Aragua.
How they got to NYC is unclear.
