Hands down one of the best educational books I’ve ever read. Highly recommend if you’re in the education field. Especially with a classroom of your own. I complete this activity every year with my students and it’s a game changer. #iwishmyteacherknew

Being an “Edu-‘preneur” has not been my easiest path, but it’s surely been a rewarding one. Over this Fall Break, I took my business a step further and finally published an official website. Check us out for you or your scholars tutoring needs. EC-6 Science, EC-College Math

Blessing y’all’s timeline with our smiles. God is so good. My sweet boy’s rough start to the year really made this Momma dig deeper into all things related to his disorders. With the help of his medical and educational teams, we are seeing brighter days. God, I thank you!❤️🤞🏽

This week in 4th science we made butter from heavy cream! In math, we learned when we move left in place value we are mult. by 10 —and when we move right we are div. by 10. So far, I haven’t had to use my middle school voice but I have definitely used the sternness😂😆🥰❤️

The affirmation station decor came in for my littles’ fit check moments. & the calm corner has a few more pieces to add and will be complete. I always enjoy putting things like this in my classroom to benefit my scholars’ and show them I care beyond the teaching.🥰❤️

This month, I stepped away for a few days to rest, recharge, and enjoy some time away. As educators, entrepreneurs, ESPECIALLY PARENTS, and professionals, we often pour so much into others that we forget the value of taking a moment to refill our own cup.

My twin love! She reminds me of me in so many ways. Her academics and love for reading and art to name a few. I’m sure those pre-teen years that are incoming will have me on my toes- bring it on😬😅. Congratulations, kiddo. Know that Mommy loves you so much! I’m so proud of you!

So proud of my sweet Boy. I can’t put into words the amount of growth he has shown this year… but I pray God continues working in him. His emotional maturity in the last 12 months alone have made me the most proud. Keep being great, Kaiyan. Mommy loves you forever and always.

A good listen.
Teacher says students are entering kindergarten already behind & learning should start at home. Here's what's happening: A lot of parents think their only responsibility is sending their child to school & the school system itself facilitates that mindset.

Steve Kerr says that America is going backwards 👀 “When I finished college almost forty years ago, if you went to school and got a degree, you could get a job and you could buy a house. Now that's out of reach for most people between student debt and home prices and the economy slanted toward the very, very top one per cent. We don't really have a middle class, and we don't have what used to represent the American Dream, which was: you can do better than your parents. We're going backward on all that. Our family is lucky. I'm in a position where my family can live well. But there are millions of people out there, young people who are looking at the horizon and saying, "I did everything I was told I needed to do, and I can't buy a house, and I can't chase my dream." Think about what that means for the stability of communities and cities and a whole country.” (via @NewYorker)

I don’t post here much. Life’s been so busy. But a small update of me and the littles. This was this year’s Muffins w/Moms. Always so grateful to experience little things like this with them. They are my reasons why.
