Just got back from the @goraina event at the @CartoonLibrary and I'm completely blown away! If you all get a chance, you need to go to the Billy Ireland and check it out. Also, can someone please convince Raina to sell me the cover to Takeout 2 !;)

Guy collected 75 TONS of newspapers to save comics history!! Amazing. An Ohio friend keeps asking me to visit. Now, I may have to! (Admittedly, maybe to meet curator Caitlin McGurk: Works w/comics, has a comics surname, & seems cool.)

On Sunday, @CBSSunday aired the perfect segment to kick off #PreservationWeek. Watch the video at bit.ly/3AN7oXa to learn how Bill Blackbeard singlehandedly preserved much of the history of newspaper comics and how @CartoonLibrary is now caring for his collection.

This is a wonderfully bananas story that you should take six minutes and watch. It both tells you about the Cartoon Library, as well as the biggest comic strip fan in the history of the universe.

Absolutely love seeing the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum (@CartoonLibrary) get some love on Sunday Morning. We got to make the trek to Ohio to see this exhibit before it’s done.
During his lifetime, Bill Blackbeard collected and preserved 2.5 million artifacts of comic strips dating back to 1893; highlights are featured in the exhibit "Man Saves Comics," at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum in Columbus, Ohio. cbsn.ws/3NrkRM2

Great story about the late Bill Blackbeard's legendary newspaper comic strip collection (currently held by @CartoonLibrary) on @CBSSunday. I own quite a few of his books, and they're all superb. cbsnews.com/news/comic-strip…
