The most powerful lesson I've learned studying storytelling: write your ending first. I just used this concept to make our first major branded video - 2 months and $16K investment - more impactful. The beginning is so crucial. It sets the stage, captures attention, frames the story arc. It's also the hardest. So stop trying to write it first. Instead, think about your ending. For this video, that meant clarifying what we wanted to help @ecommercefuel members become. Ambitious and successful, yes. But also in control. Family prioritized. Ok, that's our ending. What's the opposite of that? Late nights, stress, grinding, loneliness. An all-consuming business. That became our opening. Because great stories = transformation. Steal this framework to make your stories more powerful: Step 1: Identify your ending (the ideal state) Step 2: Identify the absolute opposite (the "before" state) Step 3: Paint that as vividly as possible in your opening This leads to the strongest narrative arc - the change - that makes a story compelling. You can use this lesson now on everything from emails to sales pages, not just big video projects. While it's carefully architected, it's also 100% true. My whole mission is to help entrepreneurs build incredible businesses and amazing lives. Big thanks to the team at @mission_films, our protagonist Bryan Walthall and all the ECF members who helped film it!

Parents, I hope your homes are so full of love & joy that when your college son is asked about not being around you and his siblings, he has this reaction.

This is my favorite use of AI yet in our business - We used it to catch an unauthorized Amazon reseller who was breaching our wholesale agreement. AI identified them because their email address was an ANAGRAM of their entity name. No human would have ever caught it.
Is there anything AI can't do? The full episode with @BillDA is up on our YouTube channel tomorrow!

An endlessly useful piece of advice: Do right by people. Do right by your customers, your clients, your vendors, your partners in business or in life. Be known for your integrity, and be someone who can be trusted.

Williams Sonoma, we here!!! This is a dream come true for Popsmith. Many people have asked me: how the hell did you land Williams Sonoma in your first full year of business?? I tried and tried to find a buyer but came up short. I knew in my heart my product belonged on their shelves. So I looked up the CEO of WS and cold shipped her a popper with a handwritten note telling her about my journey and my product. Hail Mary, full stop. Heard from their housewares buyer two months later. Launched six months after that. Life is full of walls. Be relentless about finding a path around them.

Agencies/SaaS I like a lot in no particular order. I don’t get anything by making this post. -CrucialPoint in Utah for technical audits on email. Have used them periodically since it was just the founder freelancing. He ran overstock’s email program and is very technical. We hire them every 6 - 15 months at one co to slap us around. -@fuelmade / @Carson for technical/hard dev. They are expensive but fast so it’s offset. Just make sure you give them hard problems. -Advisory in LA for creative. Very cheap and high quality creative work. Excellent. I don’t know how they deliver such good work for so cheap. -@fulfilio as an ERP. Very good fit for anyone doing manufacturing in house. Very good rate of improvement with the product + channel scripts is GOATed. I’ve gone through 6+ ERPs at this point and fulfil is the best, plus they will actually solve your problems. We are a small customer and they still go out of their way to help. -@DeepanRichpanel for CX. Similar vibe to fulfil. Very fast rate of improvement with the core product. Good about jumping in to assist with issues as well. -Facet in Canada for accounting. US CPAs and Canadian pricing with a weak Canadian $ = cheaper. VERY responsive too. I just referred someone last night and their partner replied at 11 pm lol -@HighbeamApp founders have been exceptionally good about jumping in to help us with things. They will actually listen to the words you are saying and underwrite accordingly.

I ran an iPhone case company for 10+ years. Every year we had new case designs ready to ship to customers for the next iPhone... BEFORE that year’s new iPhone was ever announced at the Apple Keynote. We made millions using this strategy. Here's how we did it 👇

Want to join a rocket-ship? Our company @getpostpilot has ink'd a Triple-Triple-Double (T2D1). And we are on pace for that second double. And we've done it PROFITABLY. We don't burn. And we have a great, fun team. And we drive CLV and reduce CAC for the biggest brands out there in ecommerce like Squatch and Hexclad. So here's the ask. I need a VP of Sales, and this person has to be an absolute baller. Know our DTC customer. Great leader and builder. Great person. The growth is happening, we just want to lock it in. Would love intros from my network! Link below--

I believe there’s a massive and easy to implement CRO boosting placement on a Shopify store that almost no one is looking at. The checkout banner image. - Give your store social proof. - Restate your satisfaction guarantee. - Make it vibey This is your brand’s last impression before the prospective customer makes a big decision. Below is how we implemented it at @braxleybands and we are currently seeing some of the best conversion rates we’ve ever had. Comment if you know a brand doing something clever here! – at Austin, TX

If you already live a comfortable life, then choosing to make more money but live a worse daily life is a bad trade. And yet, we talk ourselves into it all the time. We take promotions that pay more, but swallow our free time. We already have a successful business, but we break ourselves trying to make it even more successful. Too much focus on wealth, not enough focus on lifestyle.
