I NEED EVERY UCU MEMBER AND SUPPORTER TO RT THIS Universities have started to offer pay day loans instead of putting a real offer on the table. This is utterly scandalous. We have members struggling to put food on the table and they think acting like Wonga is the answer 😡

My new home for the next 6 weeks! Off to the Rockall Trough exploring how deep ocean mixing can drive upwelling. EXCITING! Will update as I can and try to share "life on a ship" as well

Turns out mixing is far more efficient than is typical for stratified turbulence; and the upwelling seems to be set by the transition from the stratified interior to the mixed BBL. Thanks to everyone who helped with this work! Including: @SonyaLegg @EleanorFrajka @povl_a
