RIP Robert Carradine. Cannon had the curious inspiration to cast him as a loose cannon, Riggs-style cop in Number One With A Bullet (1987), which technically released before Lethal Weapon but, still, was filmed only two years after the release of Revenge of the Nerds.

With this film, Cannon was able to finish their Carradine family punch card, following their productions of House of the Longs Shadows (John), Maria's Lovers (Keith), and POW the Escape (David). They also managed to tick Martha Plimpton off their list with 1988's Shy People

Amazingly, Cannon managed to employ more Carradines than Norrises.

PSA: If you start New Year's Evil at 10:38:27 PM, the clock will turn to midnight the exact moment when the bad guy hits pavement.

I'm not leaving -- only sharing a quick reminder that, like Hasegawa the ninja, I am in many places all at once:

Contributor copy of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie has arrived --- I'm so thrilled to have been part of this release, and had the chance to shine a spotlight on the underappreciated performers who wore the hot, heavy Garbage Pail Kid costumes for this film.

Greenberg shot more than a dozen Golan-Globus movies, from early Hebrew-language films to Cannon staples like Last American Virgin and 10 to Midnight. One of their most regular collaborators.

I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to dive deep into the careers of the performers inside the Garbage Pail Kid suits for the booklet in this release. Many of their resumes also include some of the best sci-fi and fantasy films of the era!

Mark and Wendy from Under the Radar here. This is us at Grandaddy’s 25th anniversary D.C. show for "The Sophtware Slump"—the album on the cover of our first issue 24 years ago. We’re still in print, but need to raise $7,000 for Issue 75. Help us: undertheradarmag.com/news/st…

I missed the debates. Has anyone brought up the unproduced Curtis Sliwa biopic that Cannon tried to make in 1987?

This is why I love Cannon... I've written endlessly about these movies, done so many interviews, read every article out there, and there are *still* crazy things I learn about the company every day.

The helicopter explosion at the end was filmed near my father's house. They didn't tell neighbors that they were blowing up something and cops were called.
