Formula 1 has announced a landmark 10-year agreement to bring the FIA Formula One World Championship back to Africa, with the Formula 1 African Grand Prix, presented by @visitrwanda_now, set to join the calendar in the early 2030s.
The agreement marks the sport’s return to the continent for the first time since 1993.

This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received Cheikh Niang, Senegal’s Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad. They discussed ways to further strengthen the existing fruitful bilateral relations between Rwanda and Senegal.
The meeting follows yesterday's inaugural Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation, which saw the signing of several bilateral agreements and MoUs across key sectors, as well as the Rwanda-Senegal Business Forum, aimed at enhancing trade and investment ties between the two countries.

The question is bigger than health data. It is about the public infrastructure that allows data to serve people.
At #AHTS2026, Hon. @yves_Iradukunda, Rwanda’s Minister of State for ICT and Innovation, @RwandaICT, made the case for moving beyond sectoral thinking. Health systems cannot operate in isolation from the digital, institutional and economic systems around them.
His challenge was precise: before celebrating new models and platforms, we must ask who they are designed to serve and whether they improve the experience of every citizen.
For #Africa’s digital health transformation, success will depend on connected systems, coordinated institutions and infrastructure built around people’s needs.
