🌱 World Food Day | Innovate Today. Nourish Tomorrow.
Feeding Africa’s growing population will take new ways to support farmers, reduce food waste and build more resilient food systems.
AI can help make this possible. But it takes African innovators with the skills, computing power and resources to turn ideas into solutions that respond to the realities of our continent.
By expanding access to AI skills and compute, we are helping equip a generation of African builders like @famingaltd to create technologies that address real-world challenges, including those shaping how we grow, distribute and access food.
This World Food Day, we celebrate the possibilities of African innovation in building a future where technology helps nourish communities. 🌍

Thank you my dear brother President @CyrilRamaphosa for your warm congratulations and offer of support. We look forward to working with you and all who share this vision as we make this a truly African Grand Prix in every way possible, and take motorsport to new heights on our continent.
This is🔥!
@GebeyaInc is not just using AI, they are building it: running their own compute and shaping tools for African creators.
This is what #AfricanAI looks like.
Congratulations to the team.
TECH THURSDAY | AISCA GRANTEES IMPACT STORY | GEBEYA
What happens when African AI builders have the power to build on their own terms? @GebeyaInc is showing us, and it is exciting to watch. 🌍
For @GebeyaInc, it means making AI-powered creativity more accessible through Dala Studio, a platform that helps creators turn their ideas into videos and music.
With 8 powerful NVIDIA chips of its own, Gebeya no longer has to rent expensive AI services from overseas. It now runs its own AI, shaped for its users, and has cut the cost of running it by 57%. That means more of every dollar goes into serving creators.
And creators are showing up in a big way. Since April, people have made nearly 70,000 AI videos on Dala Studio. In September alone, more than 12,000 creators made 30,000 videos. Today over 210,000 people across 51 African countries have signed up. 🎬🎶
Gebeya is working towards a future where every African creator can access a full AI studio from their phone, powered by technology designed to serve their needs.
It's a practical example of how access to compute helps African builders move beyond using AI tools to creating and scaling solutions of their own.
From AI Consumers to AI Creators. 🚀

“It is an honour and privilege for Rwanda to be chosen as a destination in the Formula One calendar. What brought us together is a shared conviction that Africa has the potential to elevate the quality of motorsports as a global and elite discipline.
Integrating African markets with global sports franchises and competitions offers transformative opportunities. Yet, if we have to be honest with ourselves, this cross-border connection has existed for a long time, just not in Africa’s favour.
The message for all of us is simple: sports is a great equalizer, but we have to be intentional about delivering this promise. Rwanda is happy and excited to be part of a journey that will change how Africa is perceived in the world of sports. We want to contribute, not just participate, and this new chapter in motorsports starts today" President Kagame | Formula 1 African Grand Prix Announcement

📚 Happy International Teacher's Day 🌍
Africa’s future will be shaped by the people who have the skills and confidence to create with technology. But before there are builders, there are teachers, the people who introduce new ideas, ask the questions that make us think differently, and give learners the foundation to keep exploring.
This Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the educators helping young Africans develop the curiosity, knowledge and problem-solving skills they need to participate in Africa’s digital and AI future.
Because building Africa’s AI future starts with empowering the people who will create it. 🚀

The question is bigger than health data. It is about the public infrastructure that allows data to serve people.
At #AHTS2026, Hon. @yves_Iradukunda, Rwanda’s Minister of State for ICT and Innovation, @RwandaICT, made the case for moving beyond sectoral thinking. Health systems cannot operate in isolation from the digital, institutional and economic systems around them.
His challenge was precise: before celebrating new models and platforms, we must ask who they are designed to serve and whether they improve the experience of every citizen.
For #Africa’s digital health transformation, success will depend on connected systems, coordinated institutions and infrastructure built around people’s needs.
