We have heard a lot about how @mcclatchy loves it's journalists. But unless they pay fairly then it's just words. Do better. We are the ones who make sure you have news to print.
It's time for @mcclatchy to bargain fair with @OneHeraldGuild.
UPDATE: Two months into bargaining for our 2nd contract, our hedge fund owners @McClatchy are holding healthcare hostage and refusing to invest in our journalism.
We now have less than a month to come to a full contract agreement, or our members face steep healthcare increases.
This is a disturbing turn. We can only hope that management would stop trying to make their employees' lives actively worse. @WaNewsGuild @OneHeraldGuild @MLKLabor @IdahoNewsGuild

For the 2nd time this month, @mcclatchy and the @IdahoStatesman failed to pay their employees on time.
McClatchy has an obligation to bargain with its workers over changes in working conditions. It has failed to meet this basic legal requirement, and we will not stand for it.

Traffic alert: Troopers are on scene of a hay truck fire on SR 221 near milepost 15, approx. 10 miles south of Prosser.
The driver was not hurt but this will be an extended ETA to clean up and tow.
