A purported BioWare developer has leaked a trailer for the cancelled ME 5 on Reddit.
The footage, reportedly titled "MASS EFFECT UNIVERSE," appears to suggest the project was further along in development.
Its authenticity remains unverified.

Pokémon in its pomp. I’m forever a genwunner but with Gen 3 overlays and a tonne of post-game, it’s one of Game Freak’s best efforts.

It’s easier said than done because of habit, discourse and popular opinion outside of the bubble, but every now and again a brand comes back swinging and it’s often because the competitor opens the door by being lazy, greedy or arrogant.
PlayStation fancy themselves a hat-trick.
Meanwhile, Xbox deliver disc to digital, may provide an option for physical (even if external, which is all I ask), reinstate exclusivity (even if case by case), get HIDEO KOJIMA(!!!) to invest his time into their platform and haven’t been treating the user base with disdain.
Foolishly, believed Sony would go one more round with physical instead of killing it, continue to deliver worthwhile exclusives (even if they’ve largely wasted this generation), and probably undercut Xbox given the scope of Helix sounding pretty feature rich.
Kind of wild that five months ago I thought I was done with Xbox. Not because I wanted to be but there was no reason to stick around with no exclusivity, the expectation of an all digital system and soaring prices meaning it’s probably one of the other.
PlayStation in 2026:
- End Destiny
- End physical gaming forever
- End porting exclusives to PC
- Completely lose Hideo Kojima
- Attempt to cancel Kojima's next Metal Gear franchise
- Kojima cuts ties entirely and goes to XBOX
- Force your single-player studios to make live service games
- Concord happens
- Proceed to cancel most of them, losing years of development time and billions of dollars
- Buy Bluepoint and have them make a live-service rather than remakes
- Close Bluepoint down before they release any games
- Start selling vertical stands separately rather than have them come with the console
- Console prices at an all-time high
Genuinely... what is going on at Sony. disaster after disaster, huge L after L. They were my favorite gaming company throughout the PS4 generation but genuinely, how do you lose EVERYONE this fast? Meanwhile, XBOX is taking full advantage of this and priming a major comeback next generation. A literal generational fumble happening at Sony.

Some of the level reworks are improvements (The Library) but I just don’t think 343 get it or Chief, especially in those new missions.
New cutscenes are welcome but for the invasion of Disney Comedy writing.
Frame dips are bad.
