Being a Hill staffer is not easy. You do have to work with toxic bosses. & you’re severely underpaid & under resourced.
If actual abuse, you should talk to someone & get help.
But going to the NYT because you have a disagreement with your boss is juvenile.
Grow up or leave.
Interesting because my husband and I both cook and clean.
We have a very egalitarian relationship so this is not new or groundbreaking in our household.

Having real ambition is one of the most separating things you can voluntarily experience.
You will be increasingly different from everyone you know...
You will have to create intentional bridges to relate.
One of the things I’m enjoying about this cycle & era of Dem politics are the graphics.
I would totally buy a coffee table book of the best ones from campaigns & orgs.
I would attend an event to listen to the creative directors, art directors, & designers leading the shops.
Join our next Students vs. Billionaires town hall in Portland, Maine featuring @AOC and @TroyJackson207.

Katie Zacharia fired. nytimes.com/2026/10/16/us/po… via @NYTimes
This is an incredible opportunity for someone who wants it and as the chief of staff, these hours and commitment expectations are sound and transparent.
Do you know the breadth of his network…? Phew
I'm hiring my next Chief of Staff. You won’t know every field I work in. What matters is how quickly you learn, the questions you ask, and whether you can think from first principles. You’ll help evaluate opportunities and work with founders building consequential companies. Technical background preferred. Three-year commitment. Menlo Park, in person. Apply: jobs.ashbyhq.com/khoslaventu…

i have no horse in the race here - but to everyone trashing the 8am-8pm requirement, availability weekends and nights, and 3 year commitment...
this is the tacit/unsaid requirement of every job I have ever had that had real growth, learning, and ownership baked into it. the only difference is VK is being explicit about it in the JD

I stand by what he said about sardines. I love them, and they are so rich in protein. I've eaten sardines all my life because they're such a delicacy.
I'm glad people think they're gross because it keeps the cost down lol (well, except TikTok found out about them, so...)
People are trying to use LinkedIn like it’s Instagram/Tiktok and that annoys the hell out of me.
Let’s have some decorum and discernment.
I’ve spoken to a LinkedIn staff about this too and they don’t want it either.
Incredibly composed shot. 10/10
I can see this in a textbook
White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia and Special Assistant to the president Natalie Harp join President Donald Trump in Marine One he arrived in Wasilla, Alaska yesterday. @POTUS @KatieZacharia
I don’t believe this narrative being pushed that Black Dem voters in Michigan won’t vote for him.
I simply can’t believe that because Black Dem voters are pragmatists & rarely vote based on emotion (that’s a privilege).
Plus look at how these folks embrace him. Hope he wins!
Reminds me of when painters had benefactors so they can focus on painting.
I feel like this is the best wave in investing. Instead of investing in a company, invest in creators. I wouldn’t even mind doing this imo.
one of my good friends has a large billionaire patron who sponsors his content & is largely hands off. this means he doesn’t have to run specific sponsors or ads on his platform that feel unnatural & disruptive.
from a strict creator monetization + livability perspective this seems like the cleanest model for content creation.
i.e. creator can focus entirely on producing interesting work & the audience gets an undisturbed experience. the patron gets cultural influence, intellectual stimulation, or simply the satisfaction. more wealthy ppl should do this.

She's in a county that's nearly 80% Republican, and the sheriff's nephew threatened to kill her. I'm surprised any Democrats are brave enough to run there. Her town has 13,000 people and is one of the state's poorest. I'm always surprised when places like this vote against their own interests, keep getting poorer, and then wonder why.
This election doesn't matter much, but MAGA sure wants to make her life more miserable.
