The prompt was very simple: I need to change solutions in 96 well plate. This has to be automated. Make me a CNC type of machine that does this. Note that it has to remove the lid (can be some plastic plate attached to the robot, not the real lid...

Probably (although not necessary) you should use some aluminium extrusion. Ideally, the machine should be compact and light. Application should be done via some syringe pumps but do not do this yet, focus on the CNC machine..

Obviously need some changes but overall a very workable solution. #Astra

The seven nitrogens sit in stable aromatic heterocycles typical of kinase inhibitors. At ~17% N and only two oxygens, it falls far short of the high N/O ratios and strained bonds required for explosives. No boom risk—just the predicted tight binding and clean crystals.

#automation #robotics #AI ChatGPT is pretty decent at making 3D designs. Here is how I made a XYZ CNC base for a liquid dispensing robot for my new PhD student. I started with the following prompt:

Make a how and insert a lead screw nut and a nut. On one end of this Y extrusion connect another vertical extrusion and place the Nema 11 motor via connector so that motor shaft is at the same hight as the lead screw.

Not sure what I meant here :D

And then created Z with the following prompt: Now you need to create a similar vertical Z axis, make it shorter (say, 50 mm). Improvise This is what I got:

It takes a while and it is not convenient that you can't click on parts and prompt specific instructions for specific details but overall I had very positive experience. IT doesn't require fancy 3D programs and lots of experience.
