How many stains/ancillary are enough? There is always some sponge around the corner! 🧬 Cytokine ISH : NOS2 and IL17 were positive, supporting psoriasis and consistent with the histopathology. Bx on forehead - is a NO! 👀 Clinical: firm nodules; superficial/lip nodules classic 🔬 Histo: gray-green granular/crinkled spheroids + giant cells 🧪 Stains/polarization: calcium stain = no bueno, not really polarizing either. ⚖️ vs PMMA: CaHA = granular/crinkled; PMMA = smooth, uniform microspheres. ✅ Happy to teach you how to estimate when the filler was injected, even when the patient insists they never had it... ✅ Patients often have multiple fillers—“foreign body reaction” is not enough.
