Great leadership leaves an impact far beyond the walls of an organization, and yours has been felt throughout our entire Sun community.
You understood that the Connecticut Sun has always been about more than basketball. It’s been about the fans who filled our home year after year. The families who made coming to games a tradition. The young girls who saw themselves represented on our court. The communities we were fortunate enough to serve. And every person who found a sense of belonging in being part of the Sun Fam.
You both know what it means to wear a WNBA jersey, to compete at the highest level, and to understand everything that comes with being a player in this league. You carried those experiences with you as leaders, creating a connection with our players that went beyond the game. You understood them because you once stood where they stood, and you used that perspective to support, empower, and help pave the way for the women who came after you.

You poured your hearts into every detail. Finding new ways to honor our history, celebrate the people who built it, create new memories, and make sure our fans felt the love they’ve given this organization for 24 seasons.

Coming off the bench in the Sun's final game, Gianna Kneepkens scored 12 points, going 4-of-8 from the field. Alongside this, Kneepkens collected four rebounds, dished out two assists and grabbed two steals.
Aaliyah Edwards scored 16 points off .545 field goal percentage (6-of-11) on Sept. 24 against the Tempo. She also added four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 17 minutes of play.
Raegan Beers set a new career high off 17 points, going 6-of-11 from the field, in last night's win over Toronto.
Beers also grabbed eight rebounds and two blocks in the match.
In the Sun's 9/24 contest, Hailey Van Lith posted 12 points, nine rebounds (career high), eight assists (career high) and a steal.
Van Lith accomplished this off the bench, also going 6-of-9 from the field.
In last night's performance, Ashlon Jackson became the second rookie ever to record 18 points with five 3PM, alongside zero turnovers and zero personal fouls.
The only other player in WNBA history to do this is Monica Rogers, formerly Monica Wright.
With the franchise's final game, the Connecticut Sun closes with an overall 461-375 record and a .551 win percentage.
The Sun also sets with 16 Playoff appearances, including four Finals series.
