“Central Secretariat Services in the Govt of India, established 107 years ago, are the backbone of the administrative structure.
They are the ground workers, who script success stories of the government in place. To ensure for them motivation to perform in a work-friendly environment is,therefore, our collective responsibility.
In a complete departure from the status quoist approach of the earlier governments, #DoPT, under the leadership of PM Sh @NarendraModi ji, took a pathbreaking decision of clearing the backlog of thousands of stranded promotions by ordering mass promotions, so as to keep the employees motivated by avoiding stagnation in services”.

Launched the ‘CSS Shield’ initiative of the Central Secretariat Service (#CSS) Forum, a mutual voluntary support initiative for the bereaved families of CSS officers.
The initiative is in keeping with the larger effort of the Personnel Ministry #DoPT to make government service systems more responsive to the needs of employees and their families. Several service-related provisions have been changed in recent years to reflect contemporary requirements and the Government remains open to introducing new provisions or modifying existing rules wherever this can make the system more responsive.
PM Sh @NarendraModi ji has continuously encouraged the review of rules and procedures as a result of which nearly two thousand rules have so far been done away with, which had become obsolete with the passage of time. The objective is to ensure that government systems remain sensitive and responsive to the needs of employees and their families.
