Launched the redeveloped Websites of the Department of Science & Technology #DST and the Ministry of Science & Technology. The new websites are citizen-friendly based on the principle of citizen-first, multilingual in 22 languages, and offer a single-window platform for research grants, fellowships, scientific schemes as well as opportunities for students, researchers, StartUps, common citizens etc.
The redesigned information architecture enables users to locate relevant information more efficiently, including eligibility criteria, application guidelines, calls for proposals, awards, results and official notifications. By bringing these resources together in a structured format, the portals aim to reduce the effort required to navigate government information and strengthen public participation in India’s science and technology ecosystem.
The initiative advances a more inclusive and citizen-centric digital environment, and embodies PM Sh @NarendraModi’s vision of “Science by the People, Science for the People”.

My address to students at the #Varanasi "NaMo Book Fest" commemorating 25 years of PM Sh @NarendraModi ji as Head of Government, through books written by different authors on various facets of his life, leadership and public service.
Takeaways:
"Opening of India’s Space sector to private players has created new opportunities for young scientific and technical talent within the country and helped reduce the need to look abroad for employment.
From the point of view of students and youth, the last 12 to 13 years have been an “Era of Science” in India, with technology receiving high policy priority. India had the talent and human resources for decades, but the enabling policy environment required to convert that potential into national capability strengthened significantly in recent years.
One must learn to embrace the technology while retaining independent thinking and curiosity. You have to be intelligent enough to use Artificial Intelligence. Recalling the message from PM Sh Narendra Modi ji's address yesterday “We can do it,” one can say with confidence that India has moved from an era when the world experimented and India followed to the one in which scientific developments are taking place in India alongside the rest of the world, with the country even moving ahead in some fields".

My address at the inaugural 'Indo-Swiss Research Flagship Event 2026' coinciding with the visit of President Guy Parmelin of #Switzerland.
Key Takeaways:
"This is an occasion not only to celebrate two decades of healthy and progressively expanding cooperation between the two countries, but also to chart the way forward by diversifying the partnership into emerging areas of Science, Technology and Innovation, and creating greater opportunities for researchers and innovators in both countries. Appropriately therefore, the programme is structured around two broad themes, “Looking back on 20 Years of Impact and Excellence” and “Looking forward: Transforming Tomorrow Together”.
The Indo-Swiss Research Framework represents a new and more strategic phase in the relationship, moving the partnership towards a structured, system-level approach to long-term cooperation. The framework is designed to strengthen mobility, knowledge exchange, research networking and sustained collaboration, while opening new avenues for cooperation aligned with national priorities and globally relevant areas.
With PM Sh @narendramodi's special impetus on technology and innovation, initiatives like “Explore” are welcome, which aims at building new research networks with the vision of developing larger consortia, and the Academia-Industry Training (AIT) programme. Scheduled to open in November 2026 as a co-funded SNSF-DST initiative, "Explore" programme will be of a 9–12-month duration and support for travel, networking and small equipment to help new ideas in basic science develop into larger research opportunities".
