My key observations at the New Delhi Roundtable on Space, organised by #Bloomberg New Economy Forum:
"India’s Space economy, currently valued at around USD 9 billion, is expected to reach USD 40–45 billion over the next seven to eight years. There are progressively increasing private investments seen following the "unlocking" of the Space sector by PM Sh @NarendraModi.
India’s experience demonstrates the potential of bringing government institutions and private industry together in a sector that requires substantial technological expertise, investment and long-term commitment. The priority now is to convert these capabilities into commercially viable businesses with the scale to compete internationally.
India’s Space programme is distinguished not only by its achievements in Space but also by the extensive use of Space technology on Earth. Satellite communications, geospatial applications and Earth observation are supporting infrastructure development, project monitoring, agriculture, disaster management and defence".

Launched the redeveloped Websites of the Department of Science & Technology #DST and the Ministry of Science & Technology. The new websites are citizen-friendly based on the principle of citizen-first, multilingual in 22 languages, and offer a single-window platform for research grants, fellowships, scientific schemes as well as opportunities for students, researchers, StartUps, common citizens etc.
The redesigned information architecture enables users to locate relevant information more efficiently, including eligibility criteria, application guidelines, calls for proposals, awards, results and official notifications. By bringing these resources together in a structured format, the portals aim to reduce the effort required to navigate government information and strengthen public participation in India’s science and technology ecosystem.
The initiative advances a more inclusive and citizen-centric digital environment, and embodies PM Sh @NarendraModi’s vision of “Science by the People, Science for the People”.
