Housing Choice Vouchers are an important tool to end #homelessness & help the millions who struggle to afford rent. Sadly, it is underfunded leaving 75% of eligible people behind. After 50 years, the time is NOW to improve & expand assistance so everyone who needs it, gets it.

Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of Section 8, signed into law by President Ford on August 22, 1974. The tenant-based rental assistance program created then evolved into what we know today as Housing Choice Vouchers, which make housing affordable for millions of people. Thread:
