Improving connections through rail helps rejuvenate communities and provide access to more opportunities. This is key to the re-opening of the Ivanhoe Line #Burton to #Leicester

Transport, at it's best, has the power to rejuvenate a community, create jobs, homes & change lives. The #HS2 plans at Toton are the best example of that we've ever come across. Watch our video with @DarrenG_Henry to see why 👇👇
Reopening rail lines across the country would go a long way to improving public transport and tackling rail overcrowding.
@CBTransport think #Leicester to #Burtonupontrent is a #1 priority bettertransport.org.uk/re-op…

CRIL staff at work on our stall at Coalville market on Saturday. A successful event providing an opportunity to meet the public and hear their views and to sell our calendar. Sales going well, we recommend placing orders to crilchair@gmail.com to avoid disappointment.
We have booked a stall in the Coalville indoor market on Saturday 26th September. In the absence of events due to Covid this is one way of gathering support for our campaign. It is also an opportunity to sell CRIL calendars which will give our campaign fund a much needed boost.

It was good to get out with the display and "touch elbows" with the public on Friday. We received expressions of support and had some interesting conversations about the line. We look forward to our next outing.
We will be exhibiting at a public event at Sharp's Pottery, Swadlincote on Friday 24th July. The event will be open between 11:00-15:00 hrs and Covid-19 safety measures will be in place. This is the first time in action for our new display, if you are passing pop in for a chat.
We met with our DfT support team in the RYR process yesterday and received our homework! All very positive and constructive at this stage.
Attended the excellent DfT briefing for "Restoring Your Railway" yesterday. We are very much looking forward to working with their support team to take our project forward.
A very positive meeting with Midlands Connect today. We look forward to maintaining a constructive dialogue with them.
Our revamped display is ready to roll. Hopefully it will see some action before the year is out. Our thanks to Jake at Design4innovation for doing such a splendid job.
The "Restore Your Railway" announcement is a giant step forward for our project and we are grateful for all the messages of support. We recognise, however, that the hard work starts here and we are determined to succeed.
