Billionaires shouldn’t dictate our healthcare policies. Slashing healthcare to fund tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy puts lives at risk. It’s unacceptable, immoral, and unconscionable. #HandsOffMedicaid

The day after our #TrailofTruth commemorated #IndigenousPeoplesDay at #CapitolHill, our tribal members and allies were brutalized by the United States Park Police and our horses threatened to be impounded and killed. Our meeting to discuss our tribe’s federal recognition status with Department officials was sabotaged after our people were swarmed by armed police and arrested under false allegations.
The epitome of incompetence and violence, the National Parks Police were weaponized against us by Director Charles Sams and Secretary of the @Interior @SecDebHaaland. It’s a shame how the very indigenous people in power who we need to be on our side, during this fight, are the ones who are standing against us.
Why did you let this happen, @SecDebHaaland?
