In March 2023 Aiyla was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital. She was diagnosed with sepsis and multiple organ failure and had to have both of her legs and five fingers amputated to save her life.⁠ We are so proud she was recently recognised as part of the @PrideOfBritain awards 💙

So sad to hear this - I absolutely loved my time training in Glasgow. Nothing makes me realise how long I’ve been a doctor like how many hospitals I’ve worked in have been demolished
