Perfect for fans of Rebecca (I’d imagine!), middle grade, horror, and cats! All ages can find something to enjoy here. A spooky retelling that teaches different ways people grieve. @Scholastic fanfiaddict.com/review-licor…

Dudes and dudesses This one’s campy as hell Some good practical effects and makeup in the transformations and kills. Angela gives one hell of a demon dance I personally was thinking in terms of the Hocus Pocus Halloween party, not a small get together, but sure, this works
Honestly this felt way too long. There is not an ounce of suspense for the first hour. It’s sadly boring.  Could have been way creepier with some decent story editing.  Unfortunately you never make it to the actual Halloween party …

An enjoyable family friendly Halloween watch Kind akin to Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween without access to the IP An ancient curse gives a spirit the ability to control the town’s Halloween decorations. Made for a silly sort of creature feature Marlon Wayans goes all in

Fun, family-friendly holiday gateway horror Kind of has like a similar plot (though lesser than) Hocus Pocus. Just sans witches and set inside a Spirit Halloween for some reason Other than showing the layout and items they sells, it has nothing to do with the company though?

Post apocalypse meets Home Alone.  What an absurdly wacky, wild ride. I ultimately really enjoyed it.  Way darker than I expected, but I have been anxiously waiting for it to drop since seeing the title. What, why, and how are equally out the window and I’m here for it.

Was looking for a Halloween themed movie & this poster gave me Chopping Mall vibes A little slow, but I’m surprised by just how low the rating is. It feels like a product of its time. As a slasher, it’s meh for sure, but they are also mixing in a decent amount of Halloween

"And to one and all a merry, creepy Halloween" Admittedly, I’m of the generation that had Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston, but I’m surprised I didn’t know this existed Leading up to, and featuring, an Addams family Halloween party. Quirky comedy and typical antics for the fam.

Just watched this for the second time ever. Liked it even more this time Halloween night anthology: werewolves, a vampire, urban legends, not-quite-zombie zombies, slashers, and of course, Sam This has a great (read: horrific) werewolf transformation sequence. It still holds up

Claustrophobic as fuck My anxiety was through the whale’s blubber, so to speak Abrams is solid. 2 films in a year that let him have at it with crazy screams. More men in films absolutely losing their shit please Not sure on the real science, but it’s a solid survival story

From the teaser and this poster, I was expecting a lot more action or suspense. There are less zombies in this than hands on the below… Instead, this uses a single zombie and a bite as the impetus for change in a sort of coming of age meets infection story. Not bad, though

I submitted Devilry in Godling Wood: A Medieval Horror to Sentinel Creatives in Aug 2025. Now, 14 months later, we’re a week away from the novel’s release. I’m excited & nervous about it. I’d be grateful for any help spreading the word. It means the world to me.

Tagged as a monster horror that’s a thriller. Leans too far eco, and forgets to be a creature feature. It also plays right up next to the horror tropes but then tucks itself back in, every time. Ultimately a fun evening watch, though. Performances are good. Squid looks good✔️✔️
