We’re living in a time where you can work 40 HOURS a week, cook every meal at home, drive an old car, have ZERO hobbies, and STILL have absolutely NOTHING in savings.
And before someone says “LEARN TO BUDGET”…Budget WHAT exactly?!
People are canceling subscriptions, skipping vacations, avoiding restaurants, and cutting back on EVERYTHING just to survive.
Groceries are ridiculously expensive. Housing is ridiculously expensive. Insurance is ridiculously expensive.
And somehow a quick trip to Walmart costs $150 when you barely bought anything.
People are EXHAUSTED. They’re working FULL-TIME, paying their bills, and trying to be financially responsible.
They’re not asking for luxury cars, designer clothes, or million-dollar homes.
They just want to afford a NORMAL LIFE without constantly worrying about their next paycheck.
When did working hard and living within your means stop being ENOUGH?!

The 2025 Farewell Tour was the only time in John Cena’s entire in-ring WWE career that I watched in real time…
For all it’s flaws, I enjoyed the Farewell year as it reminded me of what it’s like to LOOK FORWARD to WWE programming.
John strikes me as a guy that will agree to anything his masters/bosses tell him regardless whether or not he thinks it makes sense.
His decisions reflect the paycheck being the most important thing and he doesn’t seem capable of saying no to ANYTHING.
I don’t know him personally and never will, however he’s starting to come down with the Dwayne Johnson disease of over-exposure and becoming too common to remain special.
John retired from in-ring action sure, but he is saying yes to literally EVERYTHING else so the “special-ness” of Cena is waring off.
I’m a John Cena merch mark and love buying his hats, but at a certain point it’s just a money grab and he’s just the hype megaphone for the machine.
If he’s not part of “the club”, he just doesn’t know how to say NO.
No hate, just how I see it as a near life long fan of the WWF/WWE.

I was thinking about the Jones Plantation scene this morning of the one slave that can see what’s happening (Sam) trying to tell his fellow slaves what’s actually happening and who Mr. Smith actually is; and the reaction he got.
I’ve been through that in real life with my own family and believe me it was surreal (after having seen the movie).
Upon deeper thought, among his base Trump is looked at as “one of us” to his supporters and “not a politician”.
You can draw a parallel to Mr. Smith, being a former slave himself now coming to rescue the current slaves as their savior.
He’s both racially one of them and formerly situationally one of them, so the slaves see him as “one of us”.
I doubt the film did this on purpose, but the case can be made that Mr. Smith is a direct metaphor for Donald Trump.
I’m not saying Trump only has white supporters, but in the small little world that is Jones Plantation it’s a striking snapshot.
