During last week’s @WorldBankGroup-@IMFNews Spring Meetings, I hosted a key panel on Financial Literacy on behalf of the United States @g20org Presidency.
Alongside World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, @UNSGSA Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, and Finance Minister @satsukikatayama of Japan, I highlighted the central role of Financial Literacy as part of the United States’ G20 Finance Track.
In today’s world, Financial Literacy is a necessity, and the Trump Administration is taking innovative steps to bring hands-on financial education to the American people.
@POTUS has taken bold action to make financial literacy accessible to all Americans by creating @TrumpAccounts, and seeing these assets grow over time will instill patience, discipline, and a sense of ownership in one’s future for the next generation of Americans.
Under the United States’ G20 Presidency, @USTreasury will sponsor a Financial Literacy Solutions Sprint to expand access to scalable, tech-driven financial education.

This week, in partnership with @CGAP, we hosted a technical workshop on Regulatory Gender Disaggregated Data (RGDD) and financial health measurement.
The workshop enhanced the capacity of financial sector stakeholders including Financial Service Providers, government institutions, and development partners to effectively use high-quality administrative data to inform evidence-based strategic decisions and policies.
It also unveiled key insights from the #Rwanda RGDD pilot and demonstrated practical ways to use this data to assess and improve financial health. These efforts pave the way for better outcomes and greater gender responsiveness in financial services.

Farm to Market Alliance with its implementing partner Cereal Growers Association hosted @CGAP and The @WorldBank Group researchers in Nyandarua County, where they visited Tabitha Wanjiru, a 28-year-old Farmer Service Center (FSC) from Kipipiri sub-county. As a horticultural aggregator, Tabitha specializes in growing and exporting sugar snaps and snow peas, connecting smallholder farmers to markets. The visit focused on understanding the FSC model and how it supports smallholder farmers through access to markets, sustainable agriculture, and financial inclusion.
The team's goal was to explore how public and private stakeholders can collaborate to scale solutions that address the financial needs of smallholder farmers and micro-enterprises (MSEs), particularly by advancing women's economic empowerment. This visit underscores the importance of strengthening financial ecosystems to drive sustainable agricultural growth and community resilience.
The event concluded with a tree-planting activity by the team, aligning with the sustainability goals that FtMA and CGA actively promote.
