“Labour’s package of measures includes widening the registration requirements for UK trusts in order to stop them being used for illicit activity, while pursuing other avenues to boost transparency around trust ownership of UK property. This would involve working with the overseas territories on a common transparency regime”

Disappointing to see @JonathanCamrose suggest the current PAF costs are "reasonable". We'd be very happy to meet with him to explain the massive opportunity for innovation and growth if the PAF was free!

Also perhaps more could have been said about data gaps which are already well known - e.g. social care; rental data; court sentencing / remand & bail; information about local government.

Perhaps what does not quite come out is the urgent pressure on quality of statistics right now. The review asks whether the Labour Force Survey should be made compulsory, but there are other areas as I flagged here such as earning, business or trade data

The Lievesley review proposes a Triennial Statistical Assembly to help determine the UK's statistical needs. This is a creative solution to the problem of user engagement which I highlighted recently to @CommonsPACAC as an issue that the statistical service has not cracked

As Mayor I will work to liberate the Postcode Address File (PAF) for London tech businesses. Something the Chancellor should do today.
What’s the PAF I hear you say?
It’s a critical database for anybody who uses addresses. Freeing it up could help our tech industry.

We should collect this data!
