What happens when the people responsible for delivering infrastructure no longer feel safe doing their jobs?
This evening, our CEO Chris Campbell joins Power FM’s Colleen Makhubele for an important conversation about the growing threats facing South Africa’s infrastructure sector - from construction-site intimidation and extortion to the loss of scarce technical skills and the impact on project delivery.
The discussion will also unpack why procurement matters: how transparent, legally sound processes that prioritise competence, quality and safety are essential to protecting public investment and ensuring infrastructure projects deliver what they are intended to.
At the heart of the conversation is a bigger question: How do we protect the people, processes and professional expertise needed to build and maintain the infrastructure South Africa depends on?
Tune in to Power FM 98.7 in Johannesburg or channel 889 on DStv.
